KATIE WILCOX

Katie Wilcox is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in the ABA field for nearly 10 years. Katie has been a BCBA and 

a Virginia Licensed Behavior Analyst since 2013. She has worked with a variety of learners ages 2-60, in public school, private school, in-home, and career settings. Katie is also the owner of Behavioral Momentum, LLC and RePurpose, LLC. She loves being an active member of the Loudoun County Community, and serves on the Loudoun County Disability Services Board. Katie is passionate about providing appropriate education to individuals with special needs, and loves working on transition and vocational skills. She is a firm believer in using evidence-based practice and making data-driven decisions.

CLAUDIA SKINNER

​Claudia Skinner is an entrepreneur with over 20 years experience leading and managing various business ventures. Claudia founded ICS Consulting Services, LLC and is a co-owner of Affordable Designer Cabinets and Natural Art Granite. She is an active member of the Loudoun Special Needs community and believes in providing support and mentorship through programs within her community. Claudia served as a SEAC member, volunteers at Wheatland Farms Therapeutic Riding, and is widely involved in the special needs community. Most importantly, she is the proud mother of a child with special needs, and believes that every child deserves to be supported in reaching their full potential.

Claudia's passion to help others and her love for her daughter inspired her to explore 

and seek programs that would enable children with disabilities to grow and excel.  Through 

her journey she met Katie and found someone that shared her vision.  Claudia and Katie worked together for years, sharing a 

common vision of what a high school education should be. Together they developed an innovative and unique approach with 

the goal of students graduating with meaningful employment opportunities.

"Meaningful employment for students of 

all abilities is our goal, and we are constantly driven to achieve it. Our goal is to place all 

our graduates into paying jobs or post-secondary programs by the time they 

graduate our program. "

Leigh Ann Cole

Leigh Ann graduated from George Mason University with a BS in Psychology and an MS 

in Special Education, with a  concentration in ABA. She has worked for over 10 years as a behavioral assistant in the home for children ages 2 to 12 years, and her passion is 

watching them succeed. Having completed 

the coursework and supervision hours for 

the BCBA, Leigh Ann will soon sit for the 

exam and obtain certification.  Leigh Ann is our lead teacher, she works with all of our students on a daily basis.  She collaborates with other teachers and professionals to ensure that each student's Vocational Education Plan is implemented and tracked.  She provides support to other teachers.

Agnes Nemeth

Agnes Nemeth earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Radford University in 2017, shortly after beginning her career in ABA. She has experience working in both the in-home and school settings. Agnes has worked with individuals diagnosed with Autism, as well as individuals with dual diagnosis, ranging from young children to adults. She plans to further her education in the field of ABA, obtain her certification and become a BCBA.  Agnes is a member of the teaching staff and, alongside Leigh Ann, works with all of our students on a daily basis to provide them with the support 

they need to achieve their goals. 

Leigh Kelley McCarthy

 Leigh Kelley McCarthy has been a speech pathologist for over 25 years. She provided clinical and behavioral support with George Mason University to both public and private schools, as well as infant and toddler programs in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. She was the director of a large multi-disciplinary practice for ten years before starting her own. Leigh's passion is strengthening the drive in young people, no matter what challenges they face.  Leigh is one of our professional consultants, she provides support to our students by providing input and recommendations into their Vocational Educational Individualized Plan.  Leigh's focus is to ensure our students' needs are properly address in their goals.

Sharon Hallman

Sharon Hallman is a natural light photographer who focuses on documenting people with special needs and the organizations who service the special needs community. Her images unveil the real person behind their 

label, and highlight their capabilities, perspective, and brilliant uniqueness. Sharon captures the raw emotion and inner beauty 

of everyday moments, and her images serve 

as a reminder of how beautiful and magical

 life truly is.  Sharon is one of the Consulting Instructors for our after school extracurricular programs, providing instruction for a 10-week photography class.

Samantha Lorenzetti

 Samantha Lorenzetti is a passionate nutritionist and lifelong foodie. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, and  a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Family Studies from West Virginia University. Samantha taught in Montessori schools in New York and California, and worked as a lead nutritionist at a San Diego health camp. These experiences shaped her philosophy that establishing healthy habits in children cements good habits for life.  Samantha is one of our professional consultants, working with our teaching staff to develop the weekly lunch menus.  Her involvement helps educate our students on the importance of good health.

Laurie Chuba

 Laurie Chuba OTR/L is the founder of Learning Integrations, a pediatric Occupational Therapy practice serving the Northern Virginia area. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois Medical Center, specializing in pediatrics. Laurie is trained in many therapeutic techniques including certification in The Listening Program and Moyers Learning Systems, Handwriting Without Tears, and The Alert Program for self regulation. Her continuing educational training has focused on the areas of social skills and sensory integration, the therapeutic use of 

the arts and music for wellness, supporting educational needs,  and autism related issues. 

Our Vocational Partners

Legacy Farms

 Legacy Farms is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing garden-based training and foundational work skills support for teens and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental and social challenges. 

PosAbilities Academy and Legacy Farms are working together to provide students with opportunities for growth and learning in their garden at Temple Hall Farm Regional Park.  With use of Legacy Farms demonstration garden,  students gain foundation employment and gardening skills. 

Behavioral Momentum

Behavioral Momentum provides individualized care and treatment to children and young adults with disabilities using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  PosAbilities Academy and Behavioral Momentum are working together to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a mentorship program.   PosAbilities Academy students will gain skills and hand on experience in the education field by volunteering at Behavioral Beginnings Preschool.    PosAbilities Academy students will have the unique opportunity to be apprentices and mentors.

RePurpose

RePurpose is a home décor retail store run primarily by individuals with disabilities.  RePurpose's goal is to help individuals with disabilities gain professional experience  and skills. All items sold at Repurpose are hand-crafted by individuals.  PosAbilities Academy and RePurpose staff developed a specialized curriculum to teach students various jobs including furniture refinishing, making soaps and beauty products as well as being part of our own business plan.   PosAbilities Academy students will gain on hands experience on all aspects of starting and running a business.

InMed

 INMED Partnerships for Children is a nonprofit organization that has worked in more than 100 countries to combat poverty for current and future generations. Their programs in climate-smart agriculture and aquaponics, maternal and child health, and economic development have transformed the lives of millions. INMED and PosAbilities Academy are working on developing a partnership program that will provide our students with the opportunity to work in various programs sponsor by INMED.  One of our first initiatives is a aquaponics program.  

ICS Consulting Services

 ICS Consulting Services is a management consulting firm that provides advisory services in diverse areas. We specialize in the planning, leadership and management of business and/or technology transformation initiatives.  

ICS Consulting Services will provide PosAbilities Academy students with opportunities to work in various aspects of business management and IT.   ICS Consulting Services staff will mentor PosAbilities Academy students on how to build and run a business by providing them with hands on experience via their mentorship programs.
