Providing Individualized Vocational Programs

For Differently abled learners!

Welcome

At PosAbilities Academy, we focus on providing individualized programs for students in grades 9th through 12th with a documented disability.  We provide a multi-layer approach to learning by incorporating functional academic instruction, hands-on vocational training, and evidence-based curriculums; all focused on preparing students for gainful employment upon graduation.   PosAbilities Academy takes a unique and innovative approach to teaching that helps students connect with a career of their choice focusing on the students’ abilities and not disabilities.

Our Approach

At PosAbilities Academy, we understand that individuals learn differently.  That is why each semester we work with students and families to determine what classes, schedule, and related services will help each student reach his or her goals.

At PosAbilities Academy we not only address academic goals, but also the vocational path each student chooses.  What is more, PosAbilities Academy uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis as a corner stone to guide our educational approach in the implementation of each Individualized Plan.

Our multi-layer approach includes Functional Academics, Vocational Training, Applied Behavior Analysis and ABA based Instruction

Parent Involvement

At PosAbilities Academy, we believe that parents are an integral part of their child’s transition into adulthood.  That is why we hold monthly parent-teacher conferences, along with frequent home visits and parent training sessions to ensure consistency across settings.
