How we are preparing to open and operating while abiding by CODVID-19 restrictions and guidelines
PosAbilities Academy has been thoroughly sanitized.
Intensify hygiene alert! Scheduled hand washing and daily cleaning routines for all staff and summer program attendants.
Limit the number of groups. No groups of over 10 people at our school, including students, teachers, parents and/or supporting professionals.
If sick (no matter who you are) please stay home!
Field trips will be limited to phase 2 opening guidelines, when those are in place. Field trips will be limited to locations that are implementing the same guidelines.
PosAbilities Kitchen will be remained closed, students and staff will need to bring their own food each day, clearly labeled and stored separately.
We will continue to follow all CDC, state and local agency guidance and restrictions.
Everyone that comes into PosAbilities Academy will need to review and abide by the CDC guidelines (frequent hand washing, symptom checks, social distancing rules, face covering, etc)
We will follow CDC summer program guidelines (Prioritize outdoor activities, limit camp attendance to individuals in same geographic area, post signs, maintain healthy environments, discourage sharing of items, etc.)
We will follow the Virginia re-opening plan guidelines (Limit capacity per guidelines, we will stay way below 50% capacity, abide by no-groups of more than 10, etc)
We will implement a check-in protocol for students being dropped off, they will need to be checked-in prior to entering our facilities. Check-in procedures include a short symptom questionnaire and temperature check with a no-contact thermometer.
