8 weeks of programming plan this summer. Our focus is to develop fun programs for teens with disabilities with five goals in mind:
1. Explore new interest and develop skills through leisure activities
2. Gain independence in daily living skills
3. Gain independence in the community and make new friends,
4. Follow instructions from a variety of individuals
5. Increase self-advocacy skills needed to navigate community settings
Each week participants will explore their interests and develop skills through a variety of activities and field trips. There will be a weekly vocational or leisure themes.
Participants will enjoy field trips to local parks, farms and recreation centers
Combines lots of fun activities that center around vocational and living skills training for participants with a documented disability.
Activities include, cooking, arts, DYI projects, sports, learning about animals and nature as well as outings in the community.
Our program focuses on teens working in groups. Individuals that attend our summer program must be able to work in groups of 3-4, follow simple directions, be independent in their personal hygiene and be able to communicate their wants and needs.
If your child does not meet the minimum requirements, we do have another option. For those individuals that need extra support, we partnered with PosAbilities Clinic. They provide 1:1 ABA services for those that require that support during the camp.
